Are you an introverted business owner? You might like to use these words I’ve created. Although jokey & light-hearted, there’s an element of truth to each! 🙂
Taglines and slogans for Organ Donation
Organ donation is a simple, beautiful way to leave a priceless gift for those who are seriously ill or dying. Someone’s mother, father, son or daughter.
Although it’s not something people like to talk about, we are all going to die. The question is, can we make our death count? We can! Just one organ and tissue donor can transform the lives of 10 or more people.
Given that it’s Donate Life Week, here are some of my own tagline ideas for Organ Donation
Sharon Chisholm: Lovely client, great gift giver, cool hair!
Sharon’s business tagline
In 2013 I wrote the website copy and a tagline for Sharon Chisholm’s interior design business, The Restful Nest. The tagline was, ‘Hatching plans for a beautiful home’. Sharon’s Restful Nest branding incorporates beautiful shades of blue and an owl that says ‘hoo’.
Parks & Rec: Taglines for 9 Tom Haverford Business Ideas
I recently wrote taglines for Pawnee businesses, which included Tom Haverford’s Snake Lounge, Tom’s Bistro and Rent-a-Swag.
But Tom had several business ideas that didn’t get off the ground (which you’d expect from a jet that’s been turned into a wheel-less apartment block). His entrepreneurial concepts may not have been tried, tested or even legal, but they certainly delighted, intrigued and bewildered. In my opinion they’re all worthy of their own humble taglines. Hope you enjoy them.
Parks & Recreation: New taglines for Pawnee businesses
The official Pawnee website states that Pawneeans are ‘moderately well educated’, making Pawnee an ‘acceptable’ location for business. With such accolades it’s little wonder Pawnee is home to Fortune 500 companies like Paunch Burger.
Pawnee business owners pride themselves on the existence of a form of customer service. For example, if Entertainment 720 was still around today, they’d happily facilitate, perform and botch the 720 surgeries required to transform me into Li’l Sebastian. Sweetums would assist by donating NutriYum bars to turn my teeth pony-rot-brown. And Jamm Orthodontia would ‘horsify’ my jawline and gums in exchange for my soul.
I miss the slightly unethical peeps of Pawnee. To ease my longing, I’ve written some fun taglines for various Pawnee businesses, brands and departments.
Subway tagline: Revamping ‘Eat Fresh’
I love Subway and their ‘Eat Fresh’ tagline. For fun though, I’ve created an alternative.
As you can see, the alternative Subway tagline I’ve created has a slightly different message to Eat Fresh. It says, ‘Have your delicious sub just the way you want it, even if that’s with meatballs, tuna, jalapenos, 3 choc-chip cookies and a splash of aioli’, but in a lot less words.
Bizarre benefits of having a biz slogan
Having a business slogan or tagline can lead to some bizarre benefits. Who’d have thought a slogan or tagline could make you taller?!
1. The Mohawk Principle: A slogan or tagline can make you taller
Unless you sell something rare and weird like ergonomic desks for newborns, you’re going to have stacks of competitors. I mean, stacks. Hundreds. Thousands. Maybe even trillions.
You and all your competitors will glob together into one unrecognisable mass. Or, maybe you’ll remain separate but all look the same, like a gaggle of Agent Smiths from The Matrix. See below, none of them stand out. Not even the slightly constipated one in the back left.Read More…
Tagline for Ky Furneaux: Award-winning Hollywood stuntwoman
Bear Grylls describes Ky as “one of life’s fighters and survivors”. Read on to find out about the fight of her life. And, how I approached her personal tagline.
I’ve been known to do some risky activities in my life. In fact, just last week I took an extreme nap. It lasted nearly three hours, and I think I even punched myself
mid-snore … but I napped on.
I was feeling pretty pumped about my punishing past time, till I read Ky Furneax’s bio.
Brands that live to give. Why I love Ethically Creative.
I absolutely love businesses and brands that give, and you’ll be reading more about my favourite ‘giving brands’ in the future. Today though, let me introduce Ethically Creative.
A crazy, quirky testimonial
My much-loved graphic and web designer, Shona Maitland, has started another business – Ethically Creative.
First, to understand my admiration of Shona’s work, please read the below testimonial. (At the time of writing the testimonial Shona was working with existing Slogan Creator branding, since then I’ve hired her to rebrand the Slogan Creator logo, which you can see at the top of this website.) Shona has referred many of her clients to me for taglines, and I’ve referred many of my clients to her for graphic design.Read More…
Funny road signs that are like bad taglines
These hilarious road signs remind me of bad, pun-based taglines. Want to have a giggle? Check them out!
It’s tempting to roast this road sign writer for creating whirly, twirly messages rather than short, blunt, clear, live-saving ones. However, I actually think he or she has done a fine job of keeping everyone safe. If I was driving along this vast stretch of road dotted with dotty signs, I’d be freakishly alert.Read More…
